Stock
Stock is the parts and consumables the business holds, and everything that moves them: what arrives from suppliers, what goes out to customers and engineers, and what the count says is actually on the shelf.
Most of it is answered from one screen — a warehouse, and its Stock On Hand tab.

What you can do here
- See what a warehouse holds, what it is worth, and what is already spoken for.
- Receive goods in from suppliers, and move stock between warehouses.
- Fulfil sales orders — including the supply orders raised in Service.
- Pick, pack, dispatch and deliver.
- Count the shelf and correct what the system believed, with a stocktake or an adjustment.
What you will meet
A warehouse is a place that holds stock. A holding is a quantity of one product in one place, and an allocation is a claim on part of a holding for a particular job, order or dispatch — which is why on hand and available are different numbers. A receipt brings stock in; a dispatch sends it out. A sales order is a commitment to supply, and a stocktake is a count that reconciles belief with reality.
