Work a visit on site
Before you start
Your account must be linked to an engineer, or the list will be empty — see Who can use it.
Steps
- Open /mobile — on a phone you are taken there automatically — and go to Service Agent.
- Find the visit. Most assigned work sits on Unscheduled rather than Scheduled.
- Open it and read JOB for the reported fault, and ASSET for the machine you are looking for.
- Check REQUIRED ITEMS. If it says Not Allocated, use Allocate Stock before you set off — availability is not the same as it being yours.
- If something is not available, use Generate Backorders so the visit is recorded as waiting on parts rather than simply not happening.
- On site, use ADD ITEM to record what you actually use — parts, callout, travel and labour all go on as items.
- Add anything the office needs to know with ADD COMMENT.
- Capture Customer Signature before you leave.
Before you drive out
Check Stock in the bottom navigation and read Available, not On Hand. On Hand includes parts already promised to someone else's visit.
If it is a repeat fault
Open Job History on the ASSET section. That is every previous visit to this machine — often the fastest way to find out what was tried last time and by whom.
If the fault is not fixed
Clear the visit honestly and record what you found in the resolution. The office raises another visit against the same job; do not try to make one visit cover two attempts.
